Tammy Lea Marihugh was born in Los Angeles to part-time Hollywood stand-in, Malcolm Marihugh and his wife, Ellie, a former bank clerk, both of whom encouraged and helped their daughter's career so that by the time she was six, Marihugh had earned about S35,000 from winning child beauty contests, working as a model and appearing on TV.
