Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in the early 1980s, Gato Da Bato (which means "sweet as a cake"), like many locals, fled the authoritarian regime to settle in Miami, Florida, and give substance to the " American dream ". From his real name Daniel Toussaint, he begins to make people talk about him through various musical projects and overcomes his stuttering in an incisive flow which is expressed on his first mixtapes, mixing lyrics in French, English and Creole.
