Nicholas (Xavi) Horne was born in Tampa, Florida, and lived there for the first week of his life. He and his family then moved to Miami, Florida, where he would go on to study filmmaking at John A. Ferguson Senior High School. There he attended a D.A.S.H program where he focused on film studies, television production, and acting, while also taking a dual enrollment program with Miami-Dade College to further his studies in screenwriting & cinematography.
