Solenne Piret

Solenne Piret, born on August 2, 1992, in Lagny, France, is a French professional climber. She competes in para-climbing in the AU2 category and is known for her outdoor achievements, where she specializes in bouldering. Solenne Piret has the unique characteristic of being born with agenesis of her right forearm. She grew up in a family of climbers in the Paris region and spent her weekends in the Fontainebleau forest with her parents and siblings, but wasn't immediately interested in climbing. She tried various sports, including fencing, before focusing on her studies. She attended INSA in Strasbourg and graduated as an architect. It wasn't until 2017 that Solenne Piret truly began climbing. Back in Paris, she discovered the Arkose climbing gyms. During a training session, she met Julien Gasc, a member of the French para-climbing team, who told her about competitions. For Solenne Piret, this was the turning point. She participated in the French championships and then qualified for the international stages.
