Honored Artist of the RSFSR (13.05.1960). People's Artist of the RSFSR (4.04.1966). After graduating from the Higher Experimental Workshops of V. Meyerhold in 1926, he worked at the Blue Blouse Theater (1926-1929), the Moscow Drama Theater (formerly. Korsha, 1929-1933), the Central Theater of the Red Army (1933-1936), in the theater named after Yermolova (1936-1939). In 1939-1955, he was repressed. Since 1939, he has been in Kolyma.
